This End of Degree Project proposes the development of a mHealth infrastructure, consisting of wearable devices, specically commercial bracelets for monitoring physical activity, which will be used in combination with the smartphone and a backend equipped with cloud services. The task of the infrastructure will be to enable the implicit acquisition (simply by wearing the bracelet)
of information on the level of physical activity and degree of sedentariness of school-age groups.
Parents will also be able to monitor their child’s level of physical activity, by means of dierent summary and/or graphic measures, shown on the smartphone. Estimates of the number of daily steps and heart rate will be made. The infrastructure will allow the sending of specic/personalised notications to the mobile phone of the parent or guardian of the schoolchild being monitored, with precise indications from a specialist, after analysing the data collected and stored in the backend.
